Humiliation for a bigger purpose

I have posted a shout-out in my friendster that “a great man able to take humiliation for a bigger purpose.” This statement originated from ancient chinese phrase, which basically mean that we shouldn’t be easily provoked. Unfortunately, I heard that somebody attacked this statement by saying that :

  1. “greatness has nothing to do with humiliation”
  2. The statement is wrong because it would infer that, a man who take greater humiliation is a great man.

To tell you the truth, I only hear about the scoff about my shout-out from my girlfriend, and have not check the exact wording. I’m totally not interested in engaging war of words to whoever that disagree with the above phrase.

However, I need to remind you that I do not like a person who uttered half-truth, because it indicates that the person is a liar, deceit, swindler, etc etc… Before I go off-track, an example of Half-truth is point no 2 above. If you can’t see my point, let me highlight to you that point no 2 eliminates the phrase “humiliation for a bigger purpose.” let me repeat: FOR A BIGGER PURPOSE. It is NOT all kinds of humiliation.

Whoever agrees with point no 2 has lack of depth, not to mention try to pose as intelligent person. Seriously, you need to have clarity of the whole issue (i.e. look at the bigger picture) before you attacked my shout-out (i.e. you act).
